Background
Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm in diameter and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens.

Applications
Optimal concentration should be evaluated by serial dilutions.
Positive Control: Recognizes Influenza virus type A (hemagglutinin). Reacts with hemagglutinin of H1 serotype.
Storage
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C
