Background
The immunogen used was a fusion protein to the internal sequence GST. Glutathione -S-Transferase is commonly used as an epitope tag in generating fusion proteins. Antibodies specific for fusion proteins are useful in monitoring protein expression in Western Blots as well as immunoaffinity purification of proteins expressed in E.Coli. This antibody recognizes GST at a MW of 26kD.
